Add two more to the list
Of god damned things that Karlene has brought home, that we DON’T NEED.
She’s brought (without telling me first): cows, horses, pigs, chickens, geese, cats, dogs, goats (okay, I knew about the goats) but still… and that’s just what I recall off the top of my head.
Today, she added 2 Mexican turtles, smuggled here illegally as babies, of course.
Apparently, this isn’t their first visit to my house.
K: Don’t you remember, we babysat them for a week when they were tiny
S: Um, no.
K: Oh that’s right, I didn’t tell you they were here. But, they were.
S: Can we just put them in the pond?
K: No! They are tropical
S: *%#@!!!!

Heheh. Why do I get the feeling this is payback for something you’ve done, Syd? Has K named ‘em yet?
12/02/2009 at 8:27 pm
DO they speak spanish? Have you ever had turtle soup?
12/02/2009 at 8:29 pm
I saw you trade the turtles for Butch.
12/02/2009 at 9:04 pm
So what can you get out of this for letting her have them?
12/02/2009 at 9:43 pm
I believe those are Fred and Barney. We did meet, or I was drunk and imagined it.
12/02/2009 at 9:43 pm
Yeah, I’m seeing -bargain town-.

And wordpress said I’d already said that so it must be gospel.

Or Thelma and Louise?
They’re cute! And low maintenance.
My mom left me her turtle in her WILL!! She was serious about him being seen to. He’s presently on a hunger strike. He eats rosey reds (minnow like goldfish) or turtle food or as a rare treat, lunchmeat. Guess what I have to try next? Lunchmeat. He’s rotten spoiled, just like any animal that lives with me!

They look like red eared sliders. Just my humble opinion.

at least these won’t stand on the hood of your car like the goats (I really wish you had kept the goats)
12/03/2009 at 8:36 am
At least half of what she brought home is edible, and if you were Korean, even more.
12/03/2009 at 9:03 am
Didn’t she bring those fancy pigeons too…
Its quite the menagerie you got there!
12/03/2009 at 10:10 am
Could be oh-so-much worse, really. Could be reptilian and sinister…

OMFG, e…that reminds me. Karlene’s brother put snakes under his house to get rid of mice. She has threatened to do the same. In turn, I threatened to move out. (which was accepted as a promise rather than a threat, damnit)
I will go fucking ape shit if she does such a thing.

We had a big bull snake under the house as a kid. It was a great mouser. Scary as all hell, but a great mouser.
I like the turtles – my kids are dying for turtles.
You could call them Cheech and Chong.
12/03/2009 at 6:05 pm
THEY ARE NEAT!
But this was funny.
12/03/2009 at 8:40 pm
I think I’ll start calling Karlene ‘Noah’.
12/03/2009 at 8:43 pm
I call her CUNT, but Noah seems fitting.
12/03/2009 at 8:48 pm
They have found a good home and take my details off your ‘puta!! hehe I did not call K a cunt. You on the other hand. hehe
12/03/2009 at 8:51 pm
Before anybody gets pissy with Lisa, I made that comment in her name because her deets were in my ‘puter.
Bitch didn’t leave her password for email though. Crap!
12/03/2009 at 10:10 pm
lol, thats funny. I think she is the one in control in that house!
On an unrelated subject… my daughter is a fan… I had no idea she clicked on my blogroll… she emails me yesterday and is like that chick Syd mama, way too funny!
12/03/2009 at 10:14 pm
Oh no! I think I’m embarrassed.
She needs to comment sometime!! I mean, if she’s gonna hang around…
12/03/2009 at 10:30 pm
I will tell her to… oh Megan… Megan if you are reading you have to send Syd some comment love instead of just lurking! haha
